Tips for Document Preparation
Get Official Documents
Original or certified copies are preferred. Request certified copies from the issuing authorities in your home country if you don't have them. IRCC will not accept unofficial photocopies without certification.
Organize by Category
Keep documents organized in separate folders by category. This makes it easier to find documents when needed and helps IRCC officers review your application efficiently.
Provide Translations
If any documents are not in English or French, provide certified translations. IRCC may not accept applications with untranslated documents.
Check for Recent Dates
Some documents like bank statements should be recent (within 4 months). Check IRCC requirements for each document type to ensure they meet currency requirements.
Keep Originals Safe
Always keep original documents safe. Only submit photocopies or certified copies with your application unless specifically requested to submit originals.
